Who we are

Welcome to our community - The Redeemed Christian Church of God - New Life Chapel is strategically positioned to bring the word of comfort and hope to our community. It is poised to bridge the gap in the way worship is conducted. God looks for true worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth [John 4:23-24], and it is our goal to ensure true worship that brings revival and restoration. This is a place of transformational experience.

Happy Good Friday!

Today marks a deeply significant moment for Christians around the world as we reflect on the death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Over 2,000 years ago, He was unjustly condemned and crucified—a tragic and painful event that took place at Golgotha, the place of the skull. The people of Jerusalem, having misunderstood and rejected His message, viewed Him as a blasphemer and called for His death. It is with a solemn heart that we remember the sacrifice He made on this day.

Good Friday is not merely a holiday—it is a day of profound reflection. We pause to ask: Why did Jesus die? What does His suffering mean for humanity? The truth is that Jesus willingly offered Himself as the sacrificial Lamb, so that through His shed blood, the sins of the world might be taken away. He died for you and me, that the debt of sin might be paid in full.

Dear brethren, Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price so that our sins could be forgiven—completely and eternally. That is why, despite the sorrow of His death, we call today Good Friday. It is good because through His death, we have been set free.

As Scripture says in Romans 6:6–7:

"Knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been set free from sin."

If there is any sin that has weighed you down, or any struggle you cannot overcome, know that Jesus died to give you freedom. He broke the power of sin once and for all. As Romans 6:10 declares:

"The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God."

Because of His death, those who are reconciled to God through Christ now live in victory over sin. Romans 8:2 assures us:

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”

And 2 Corinthians 5:18 reminds us that through Christ, God has made peace with us.

To those who accept Jesus as Lord, sin no longer holds dominion. 1 John 3:9 says:

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”

So today, as we commemorate the death of Jesus Christ, let us not take this gift for granted. Easter is not just a time for rest or tradition—it is a celebration of victory over sin. And the invitation still stands: repent, accept Jesus as Lord, and allow His blood to cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

May this Good Friday draw us closer to the heart of God and renew our gratitude for the sacrifice of His Son.
